Free Bingo and Wagering Requirements Made Easy!

Get to Grips with the Rules to Avoid Disappointments!. Bingo sites love to lavish their fans with excellent treats like bonuses, free bingo, lovely prizes and tonnes more, but one of the very best things you could for is a free bingo bonus.  The best and most-known free bonus is a free lump of cash – typically around £5 to £15 - that is given to you by a bingo site before you even have to deposit any of your own cash!  This little gem is dubbed “free no deposit cash” across the bingo world.  However - whilst this free cash is smashing, it is not as straight-forward as you may think!  You need to understand exactly what can be done with that free bonus before you go trying to splash it all over the bingo site in question!

What Can You Do With Your Free No Deposit Bingo Bonus?

This differs from site to site but the majority of bingo sites allow you to spend that free cash on their bingo games only.  You can neverusually spend it to play their instant games and you can certainly never, ever cash this out!  It is yours to spend within the rooms to check out the bingo action, check out the facilities and basically just figure out whether or not the site is for you!  In MOST cases you can defiantly win some free cash, with most bingo sites allowing you to keep any cash that you win. However whether or not the bingo site that you play on does allow you to keep the cash that you win, you will never be able to withdraw thiseither until you meet the wagering requirements of your chosen site.

Other Types of Free Bingo Bonuses

Strictly speaking, the welcome bonus and the re-deposit bonuses are all free, too.  Sure you have to deposit to snap them up but they are still completely free.  These 2 bonuses are always a percentage of the cash that you lay down given back to you.  For example – deposit a tenner at a site offering a 100% bonus and you will receive 100% of your deposit back to you, so you will play with £20. The re-deposit – though smaller – works in the same way.  You could also snap up free bonuses via the Refer a Friend promo, with some sites offering freebies for Liking them on Facebook and so on.  None of these can be cashed out – you have to spend them on the site and try and snap up a jackpot.  Again, you cannot cash-out until you meet the requirements of the site, even if you do win a jackpot using your bonuses.

Wagering Requirements

Do not fear them – they are not nearly as difficult to comprehend as you may think!  Bingo sites want to make money, too, so they ALWAYS put some wagering requirements in place.  Please bear in mind that these vary a huge amount across the whole online bingo world, so you really do have to read the Terms & Conditions of each site that you land on.  Of course to give you a good idea of what we are referring to, here is an example:

  • You have deposited £10 with Bingo Site A and receive a 100% bonus.  This of course means that you receive a bonus of £10, leaving you with £20 to play with.  Bingo Site A’s wagering requirements ask you to spend 5 times your bonus before you are allowed to cash out, meaning you have to spend at least £50 before you can withdraw any winnings.

This is purely an example – and a generous one at that, as most sites employ a pretty hefty wagering requirement – and you should also know that different games count differently towards your wagering amount. For example, when you wager on bingo games at Bingo Site A only 10% of that may count towards your total requirement, whereas Bingo Site B may put 50% or even 100% towards that requirement.  Therefor Bingo Site B would be your best bet as you would not have to spend as much to receive your winnings.
