The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was strongly criticized for being impractical in passing the act earlier in 2007. The republican and Democrats have united to oppose the implementation of the anti-online gambling laws in the US.

Both the parties have strongly condemned the earlier laws passed by UIGEA in 2007 as highly damaging for the US banking industry and the international online bingo market. They have also said that the internet should not be regulated by the Federal Government and believe that the people should be free to engage in the activities they wish as long as they are willing to take the responsibility for the same.
