Republicans Favour Online Bingo Game Sites

August 29th, 2008 by James   Leave a comment

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006- an American law passed in the US Congress on September 30, 2006 and signed by President George W. Bush on October 13, 2006 is soon to be a law of the past according to the Republican party. Though it is still a mystery on what the changes would be and what prohibition would remain, a full report on the possible agenda will be released next week.

The UIGEA has caused a huge disruption to the Online Bingo, poker and casino games sites. This news comes as an early Christmas bonus to the gambling industry and also to the US online bingo fans who have been deprived of online entertainment.

The biggest problem with the Act was that most of the online casino and poker companies left the American market as transfer of funds by banks, credit cards and paypal were deemed illegal. The shunning of the US market to the rising online gambling industry caused many companies to shut down. It also hit the economy of countries like Antigua where gambling is the second largest source of revenue.

To all the Online Bingo Sites cross your fingers and hope for the best and wave goodbye to UIGEA.
