It must be the lucky days of the Irish. Jimmy Sheridan, an Irish businessman who had not played Bingo for 30 years managed to win nearly £74,000 last week in a game of bingo! He scooped this bog money win in a local bingo hall around Goresbrook during a national game earlier on Wednesday (3-Apr).

He usually doesn’t play bingo, but his friend managed to just persuade him to come down and play a game of bingo and see if he was lucky enough. It turned out to be his luckiest day probably. He even had forgotten his glasses and his friend was marking the sheets.

After winning this bingo jackpot for £74,000 he said that it should have been the luck of Irish and adds – “I have had a few wins on the lottery before but not this big. My wife couldn’t believe it when I told her. The drinks are going to be on me for a while!” Celebrations are under way and have to see if he will get to play UK bingo more often.
